Beating the Draw: 3
For a moment, let’s return to the tail end of the previous post. As briefly stated at the end there, we do have a few more telltale signs to take a look at before we continue. Remember, when it comes to beating the draw, be it in Five Card Draw or Seven Card Draw, paying attention to the way your opponents draw is just as important as maintaining your own strategies.
So, that being said, keep in mind that quite often, a player who first raises and then goes on to draw two cards likely has trips. Sometimes they will have kings or aces, accompanied by a promising kicker.
On the other hand, if a player makes a point of checking the blinds before going on to draw a single card, he or she probably has either a flush draw or a straight draw.
Of course, these example hands are simply the most likely, the most probable. They will not always be true.
